Come join me in this online retreat within our home environment. For me, home retreat has been transformative in ways I never experienced in residential retreats. It has allowed me to deeply integrate this spiritual path into my living space, creating the visual and temporal reminders of path and practice in my own home.

Insight meditation is a simple and direct practice based on moment-to-moment awareness, a technique that opens the heart and clears  the mind. This will be an opportunity to practice continuous mindfulness throughout the day in our homes.  Learning to be mindful of our experience from a place of stillness and equanimity allows us to see more clearly, and as insight deepens, compassion and wisdom can
arise.

This retreat is suitable for both beginning and experienced meditators. I invite you to review the schedule and guidelines to see if this retreat is a fit for you.

There is NO FEE for this retreat. The teachings of the Buddha have been sustained by the 2,500 year old tradition of dana, a Pali word meaning “generosity.” Our teacher receives no compensation for his services. Retreatants are encouraged to help Brian lead a life devoted to teaching the dharma by offering donations to him at the retreat’s end. In the act of giving, we develop our ability to let go, cultivate a
spirit of caring, and honor our inter-connectedness.

TEACHER

Brian Lesage has practiced Buddhist meditation since 1988 and has taught meditation since 2000.   He has studied in the Zen, Theravada and Tibetan schools of Buddhism.  He was ordained in the Rinzai Zen tradition in 1996.   His training in Vipassana Meditation includes doing extended meditation retreats in Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, and India as well as numerous retreats in the U.S.  He leads retreats and teaches meditation courses nationwide.  Brian also has a private practice in Somatic Experiencing, which is a naturalistic approach to healing trauma.   You can visit his website for Somatic Experiencing at:  www.liberatingawareness.com
