With a boundless heart should one cherish all living beings…
radiating kindness over the entire world.
Wishing: In gladness and in safety, may all beings be at ease!
–The Buddha, Metta Sutta

Our current operating expenses include small stipends for our teachers, our cooks, our retreat managers, online fees, technical support fees, and administrative expenses.

A gift of any amount will be received with utmost gratitude and will help the Hermitage navigate the economic uncertainties of these times. A gift of any amount will also help us to continue to bring the Dhamma to the world. Thank you.
If beings knew, as I know, the benefits of generosity,
they would not let an opportunity go by
without giving and sharing.

You may support The Mountain Hermitage by your tax deductible donation to either our General Fund or Scholarship Fund. We accept donations by either check or credit card. (See details below.)
We also encourage you to become a Sustaining Member by pledging to donate on a regular basis… be it monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly or annually. The Mountain Hermitage bank account is unable to accept direct transfers, but you can sign up with Network for Good (see below) to have regular donations charged to your credit card… or you can also arrange with your own bank to have a monthly check dispersed to the Hermitage. Your Sustaining Membership helps The Mountain Hermitage build a strong & reliable foundation to better meet the spiritual needs of the community we serve.
General Fund
The Mountain Hermitage relies on donations to support our annual operating expenses and to help us hold down the cost of our retreat offerings. Our yearly expenses include publicizing our retreats, hiring a part-time administrative office assistant, paying a minimal rent and the utilities for our Hermitage office space and supporting our Guiding Teacher with a small parsonage allowance so that she can continue to devote her life to sharing the Dharma.
Scholarship Fund
In keeping with a central tenet of the Hermitage mission, we have strengthened our commitment to offer the Hermitage experience to those without the resources to afford retreat costs, and to promote diversity among retreatants. Your gift to the Scholarship fund will directly contribute to bringing the transforming power of the Dharma to our world.
Teacher Support
Any support you are able to offer our guiding teacher Marcia Rose enables her to continue to dedicate her life to sharing the Dharma on a donation basis while living as a householder in the modern world. Donations intended for Marcia should be in the form of a check written directly to her and mailed in care of The Mountain Hermitage.
